During the onset of the cold season, you usually want to spend time inside your home rather than braving the cold air outside. For some parts of the world, the cold season lasts for more than a few months, which makes summer feel far away. Furthermore, the cold weather brings illnesses, especially if you are not wearing thick enough clothes.
One good way to spend time relaxing during the cold season is to have a pleasant and high efficient electric space heater which enables you to have temperature control. These devices are covering a relatively small area such as a room. There are different kinds of models with different features based on how they propagate the warm air around the area. The first is through convection. These ones use the natural tendency of the warmer air to rise up and circulate in the room, forcing the colder air down on the floor where the electric heater makes it warmer which forces it to rise again. This set up is simple and has no moving parts and is great for lounge areas like the living room and bedrooms.
A variation of the convection heater is having it equipped with a fan. This kind utilizes a fan to speed up the circulation of the warm air. The fan is typically placed before the heating element, pulling in the cold air and passing it through and leaving the heater, already warmed. The result is a fast warming up of the room, much faster than the ordinary convection one. One disadvantage, though, is that a fan normally generates a noticeable sound which can be considered disturbing.
The infrared heaters, also known as radiant ones, uses electromagnetic waves which causes the targeted objects to increase its temperature instead of doing it by itself. This is similar to the way the sun works. This is one of the most clean and silent types, as it will not disturb your surroundings. Infrared energy is also reported to be generally healthy as it promotes blood circulation. They are also the fastest type of electric space devices in terms of raising the room temperature, making it perfect for heating the room in the cold mornings.
